We confirm it's Kitec

Inspectors mis-flag it. We verify the pipe and fittings before a word about repiping.

Urgent, or can it wait

We read the fittings and your situation, then tell you straight. Sometimes the answer is wait.

Copper or PEX-A, both

Two real numbers on your home, quoted straight - not a single take-it-or-leave-it figure.

Most people find us the same way. An inspector wrote “Kitec plumbing” on the report, the sale is moving, and now there’s a decision to make with a clock on it. So here is exactly how it goes when you send that report to us. No mystery steps.

Step 1: You send us the inspection report

Use the form at the bottom of the page and attach the inspection PDF, or just the page that mentions the plumbing. That one line usually tells us most of what we need to know. If you don’t have a report yet, a few photos of the fittings under a sink or at the water heater works too.

Step 2: We confirm it’s actually Kitec

Inspectors flag a lot of things as Kitec that aren’t. We check the pipe and the fittings before anyone talks about a repipe. Kitec is a flexible pipe, orange for hot and blue for cold, with brass fittings crimped on. If what you have is standard PEX or copper, we tell you that and you’re done. No reason to sell you a job you don’t need.

Step 3: We read the fittings and tell you urgent or wait

The pipe itself rarely fails. The brass fittings do, through dezincification. We look at the fittings, the water pressure, and the age of the home to judge how far along yours are. Some homes need to move now. Others have runway and can plan the repipe around a remodel or a slower month. We tell you which one you’re looking at. If it can wait, we say so. We explain how we read this in our guide on deciding whether to repipe now or wait.

Step 4: We quote copper and PEX-A, both

You get two numbers, not one. Copper and PEX-A (Uponor) are both good repipe materials and they price differently. We lay out what each costs on your specific home and where the money goes, so the quote isn’t a black box. If you want the tradeoffs first, read PEX vs copper for a repipe.

Step 5: You decide

That’s it. You have a straight answer on urgency and two real prices. If you move forward, a single-story repipe is usually a one to two day job, permit included. If you don’t, nothing happens and there’s no pressure from us.

Three ways to start, pick whichever fits

  • Not sure it’s even urgent? Send the report and we’ll tell you if that Kitec flag needs action now or can wait. Costs nothing.
  • Want to know the number? Give us the home size and bath count and we’ll ballpark copper and PEX-A ranges for you.
  • Ready to schedule? Request a written estimate and we respond within one business day.
